Stringiti alla mia mano

'Italian Moods', released in 1961, is one of the first compilation-albums by RCA in Italy. As you can see the name of the company was still RCA Victor and not RCA Italiana as it would be known for the rest of the decade.

Nico Fidenco was one of the most popular acts then. Edoardo Vianello was just beginning. Sergio Endrigo was already a genius with 'Aria di neve'. But the best track is, undoubtedly, 'Stringiti alla mia mano' (Hold on to my hand), a quasi-religious song penned by Crusca (real name: Mario Scillia) and lyrics by Nico Fidenco in his moments of divinal inspiration. The orchestral arrangements by Ennio Morricone with Coro della RCA and sung magestically by Miranda Martino. It got as high as # 6 in 18 November 1961 at the Italian Hit Parade.
